It’s like a piece of paradise on Earth (Nepal, to be more specific) although locals have named it the “Valley of Death” owing to the numerous lives that altitude sickness has taken. It is the biggest glacier and an arc of Snow Mountains of the Nepal. And the Gokyo valley is the most attractive in the Khumbu Region. Our Gokyo Lakes and Gokyo Ri Trek is an alternative to classical treks in Khumbu that has been specially designed for travelers who are eager to experience the magnificence of the Everest range, while avoiding too much mental and physical stress. All the same, Gokyo Ri trekking is favored more than the traditional Everest Base Camp trek (of course, we won’t be hiking to the base camp since standing on the Gokyo Ri itself will make you feel like you are already on the roof of the world!).
