Embark on an epic journey through the lower Everest region in Nepal. Corporate Adventure Treks takes you on the Arun Valley Eco Trail Trek, one of the most cultural treks in Nepal!

On this amazing trek in Lower Solukhumbu, we at Corporate Adventure Treks let you experience the amazing cultures of the Rai and Sherpa mountain people by introducing you to homestay in Nepal. During the Arun Valley Eco Trail Trek you get to stay in rustic and charming villages with a Nepalese family. This gives a unique experience during your trek in Nepal and enables you to see life through a different perspective. The trail of the Arun Valley is filled with jungles and wild life. While trekking through the Arun Valley you get to see the occasional small black bear, or the endangered red panda. On some occasions trekkers have even spotted the leopard [small tiger]!

The route of the Arun Valley Eco Trail Trek

On this amazing trek in Nepal we take a special route through the rural villages of the Lower Everest Region. From jungle trails to open valleys the views are incredible from the route of the Arun Valley Eco Trail Trek. See some of the top ten highest mountains in the world like Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lhotse and on clear days even Mt Everest.  Trekking in this area is so rewarding; we get to experience a live Bramhin, Rai, Sherpa and culture, see incredible sunrise and sunset views and visit the local market in Necha Bihebare. In Necha village we can visit local school and health post [hospital] has been made and with a quick visit we get to learn all about the conditions of rural Nepal! Trekking mostly in the Necha area a visit to the highest point Gaire village is planned on this amazing trek.

The route of the Arun Valley Eco Trail Trek heads further east to the starting trail of the Pikey Peak trek, Patale village.

Day To Day Itinerary

Day 1

  • Arrival at the international airport
  • Transfer to your hotel
  • A quick meet and greet at our office to meet your trekking team
  • Overnight stay in Kathmandu

Traveler’s note: Thamel is also called Backpacker’s Paradise and an ideal place for shopping, visiting charming restaurants or get some useful gear.

Day 2

  • Hotel breakfast
  • After a short break we go for sightseeing
        • Chandragiri by cable car
        • Swayambunath Monkey Temple
        • Boudhanath Stupa
        • Pashupatinath Hindu Temple
  • Transfer back to your hotel
  • Overnight stay in Kathmandu

Day 3

  • Hotel breakfast and check out
  • Transfer to the domestic airport
  • A scenic flight takes us to Phalpu
  • From here we start our trek
  • Head down and upwards through amazing valleys
  • Dinner and home stay in Chlyasa

Traveler’s note: Did you know that Phalpu is also an alternative and safer airport to get to the Everest Base Camp. If there are any flight delays to Lukla due to weather you can also travel to this airport and continue to the Everest base camp trek . On the way to Chyaisa we pass by the market in Salleri, also known as the headquarter of the Solukhumbu district. In Chyaisa we can enjoy incredible views and visit a small monastery and Tibetan Refugee camp at Chayalsa .

Day 4

  • Breakfast and farewell to your Nepali host family
  • We enter the jungle trails towards Nele
  • The jungle trails are filled with fauna and flora
  • Follow the trail with some small ups and downs
  • Arrive in Nele
  • Continue to the edge of the jungle
  • Arrival in Kangel
  • Dinner and homestay in Kangel

Traveler’s note: today we have high chances to see the endangered the small black bear. Did you know that Nele is a Sherpa village, and on Mondays there is a local market where you buy almost anything! The views of Mt Makalu, Nhuptse and Lhotse are incredible from here.

Day 5

  • Breakfast and farewell to your Nepali host family
  • Today we hike all day downwards to Twinter
  • On the way we pass some rustic villages until reaching the river
  • Twinter lays just next to river
  • Meet your Nepali host family
  • Enjoy a Rai culture dance
  • Dinner and homestay in Twinter

Traveler’s note: did you know that in Twinter there are some excellent camping spots? The river provides also for nice fishing opportunities!

Day 6

  • Breakfast and farewell to your Nepali host family
  • Is an ascend today
  • Starting with an amazing jungle trail
  • Head on upwards
  • Here the jungle trail ends and we enter a valley
  • Arrival in Bihibare village
  • Meet your Nepali host family
  • Dinner and homestay in Bihibare

Traveler’s note: Necha Bihibare is an amazing village and here we get to experience the rural lifestyle of the locals! On Thursdays there is local market where you can buy all kinds of foods and trinkets. Visit the newly build school and hospital and learn about the local’s way of agriculture.

Day 7

  • Breakfast and farewell to your Nepali host family
  • We start to head slowly upwards
  • Gaire is our destination and also the highest point of the Necha area
  • On the way we can see the locals rice planting
  • The trail heads through lush jungles and rustic villages
  • Arrival at Gaire
  • Meet your Nepali host Family
  • Dinner and homestay in Gaire

Traveler’s note: As the highest point of the Necha area, the views are incredible from here. On clear days you can even see Mt Everest, the highest mountain in the world!

Day 8

  • Breakfast and farewell to your Nepali host family
  • Today is our last day of trekking
  • We start to hike up through jungles
  • After some ascending we reach Patale village
  • Guest house check in
  • Explore Patale and enjoy an epic sunset view
  • Dinner and overnight stay in Patale

Traveler’s note: The next morning we wake up early to witness an incredible sunrise view over the Lower Solukhumbu Region! Day 9

  • Early wake up view
  • Hike up to the view point
  • Enjoy an amazing sunrise view over Mt.Everest
  • Breakfast and guesthouse check out
  • Drive back to Kathmandu
  • Hotel check in
  • Overnight stay in Kathmandu

Day 10

  • Hotel breakfast and check out
  • We transfer to the international airport approx. 3 hours before your departure
