Trip Introduction

10 days dhaulagiri Balcony Trek is one of Nepal’s most rewarding short Himalayan trekking adventures. This beautiful route combines peaceful mountain villages, lush rhododendron forests, scenic ridges, and breathtaking viewpoints without reaching extreme altitude. The trail offers an excellent balance of nature, local culture, and comfortable trekking, making it suitable for first-time trekkers as well as experienced hikers looking for a quieter alternative to Nepal’s busy trekking routes.

Unlike the traditional Annapurna trails, this journey follows hidden mountain paths through the beautiful villages of Ghandruk, Tadapani, Dobato, Khopra Ridge, Swanta, Ghorepani, and Mohare Danda. Along the way, you will experience the warm hospitality of the Gurung and Magar communities while enjoying peaceful landscapes away from the crowds.

The highlight of this trek is visiting three of Nepal’s finest mountain viewpoints—Muldai Viewpoint, Poon Hill, and Mohare Danda. These spectacular locations provide unforgettable sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas, including Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Nilgiri, Tukuche Peak, Dhampus Peak, and many other snow-covered mountains.

The highest point of the trek is around 4,000 meters at the Khopra Ridge viewpoint, allowing trekkers to enjoy incredible Himalayan scenery without trekking to very high elevations. The well-designed itinerary also helps with comfortable altitude adjustment.

Whether you are looking for stunning Himalayan photography, peaceful trekking trails, authentic village life, or unforgettable mountain sunrises, the Dhaulagiri Balcony Trek offers an incredible experience in the heart of Nepal.
