Day To Day Itinerary

Day 1

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a vibrant city renowned for its stunning lakes and mountain views. The 200 km drive will take approximately 6-7 hours. You’ll travel through picturesque landscapes including terraced fields, rivers and traditional villages. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you can enjoy a leisurely evening by Phewa Lake and prepare for the trek ahead.

Day 2

After breakfast, a short drive takes you from Pokhara to Galeshwor. From here, your trekking adventure begins. The trail from Galeshwor to Bans Kharka offers a mix of beautiful forests and terraced farmlands. You will gradually ascend to an altitude of 1,500 meters. Bans Kharka is a charming village where you will experience the warm hospitality of the local community.

Day 3

Today, the trek continues from Bans Kharka to Naangi. The route takes you through lush forests, past waterfalls and over suspension bridges. You will encounter diverse flora and fauna along the way. As you reach Naangi situated at 2,230 meters, you will be greeted with panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain ranges. Naangi is known for its community eco-lodge and organic farming practices.

Day 4

The highlight of your trek is reaching Mohare Danda at 3,300 meters. The trail ascends through rhododendron forests which are especially beautiful in the spring when the flowers are in full bloom. As you approach Mohare Danda, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks including Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Dhaulagiri. The sunset and sunrise from Mohare Danda are truly spectacular.

Day 5

Today is dedicated to exploring the stunning viewpoints around Mohare Danda. You can hike to nearby vantage points for panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The area offers numerous short trails that showcase the natural beauty and biodiversity of the region. This is also an excellent opportunity to learn about the local culture and lifestyle.

Day 6

Leaving Mohare Danda, you will trek towards Deurali at an altitude of 3,000 meters. The trail descends gradually offering continuous views of the mountains and surrounding landscapes. Deurali is a serene location where you can relax and enjoy the tranquility of the Himalayas.

Day 7

Today’s trek takes you from Deurali to Tadapani. The route passes through dense forests filled with oak, rhododendron and pine trees. Tadapani situated at 2,630 meters is a popular stop on the trekking circuit offering impressive views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre. It is an ideal place to experience the beauty of the Himalayan wilderness.

Day 8

From Tadapani, you will trek to the traditional Gurung village of Ghandruk. This village, located at 1,940 meters, is known for its rich cultural heritage and stunning mountain views. Ghandruk is home to the Gurung Museum, which provides insights into the local culture and history. The village also offers a glimpse into traditional Gurung architecture and lifestyle.

Day 9

On the final trekking day, you will descend from Ghandruk to Nayapul. The trail is relatively gentle, passing through terraced fields and small settlements. Once you reach Nayapul, a vehicle will be waiting to drive you back to Pokhara. In Pokhara, you can relax and reflect on the incredible journey you have just completed.

Day 10

After breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu, concluding your memorable Mohare Danda Trek. The 200 km journey back to the capital takes about 6-7 hours. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you can explore the city’s cultural landmarks, shop for souvenirs, or simply rest after the adventurous trek.
